About ASPIRE

ASPIRE was formed in 2008 under an agreement between ANSPs Airservices Australia, Airways New Zealand and the Federal Aviation Administration. It has since grown to include the Japan Air Navigation Service, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore and AeroThai.

Partner airlines are: Qantas, Air New Zealand, United Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways and Japan Airlines.

The joint venture is designed to lessen the environmental impact of aviation across Asia and the South Pacific with each partner focussing on developing ideas that contribute to improved environmental standards and operational procedures in aviation.

Since its formation, ASPIRE has developed more than 20 daily city pair ‘green routes’ based on best practices. More than 50 aircraft per day are now benefiting from the optimisation these routes offer.
