New Zealand's drone user hub
AirShare is New Zealand's drone user hub. Here you'll find the information you need to learn how to operate your drone safely, plan your drone flights, request access to controlled airspace, download our mobile app and hire commercial drone operators.
AirShare began operational service in 2014, making it the world’s longest-serving unmanned aerial traffic management service. In six years, it has been rebuilt from the ground up and now allows for the management of drone flights across New Zealand’s controlled and uncontrolled airspace. There are more than 22,000 registered AirShare users who are logging upwards of 1,000 flights weekly through the platform’s web and mobile apps.
Based on a national survey of drone operators, the 2018 Drone Tracker report provides an in-depth look at how drones are being used both recreationally and commercially in New Zealand, the health of drone safety, and the value of our growing commercial drone market.
