The TUG programme will commence on Sunday the 16th of March 2008 with the registration desk open during the afternoon and a Cocktail Party in the evening.

Those of you who arrive before Saturday evening are welcome to join us at AMI Stadium to watch the Super 14 rugby match between Canterbury Crusaders and Free State Cheetahs (South Africa).

The conference proper will run from Monday morning till Thursday afternoon. The programme will include presentations and workshops on the various surveillance types; ie Radar including Mode S, ADS-B and Multilateration. There will be presentations and a workshop on the training issues associated with the introduction and maintenance of new technologies.

For the first time Aeronautical Information Systems (AFTN,AHMS,AIS) users will be included in the TUG. There will be presentations and workshops on these products.

There will also be presentations on how we best manage our business to meet the pressures of environmental issues.

During the conference period, a social programme and a separate partner programme will operate.

On the Friday morning delegates and their partners are invited to join us on a luxury scenic coach trip through New Zealand’s Southern Alpine regions to Queenstown where we will stay for two nights. On Saturday we drive to the lakeside retreat of Wanaka to attend the Warbirds over Wanaka air show as VIP guests. On Sunday we will travel back to our hotel in Christchurch, via Mount Cook (New Zealand's highest mountain) arriving in the early evening.
