And, our 30 application software engineers continue to make it better than ever. Software development at Airways New Zealand makes pragmatic use of best practice tools and process to deliver well respected solutions for internal and international customers.

Our Track Record

Airways has a focus on technology and developing innovative systems to meet industry needs.

This year we won two Computerworld Excellence Awards for our latest development CAM (Collaborative Arrivals Manager) in the categories of "Best Sustainable ICT Project", "Excellence in the Use of ICT for Customer Service".

In 2007 we won the Computerworld Excellence Award - Overall Excellence in the Use of IT category for our automated billing system Flight-Yield™

In 2006 we won the same category and also the "Excellence in the use of IT in Education - Tertiary and Commercial" for our Total Control Air Traffic Control Tower simulator.

Our Teams

Thales Team
This team consists of 4 engineers who are contracted to Thales and responsible for the maintenance of Eurocat software

SkyLine Team
This team consists of 10 engineers involved in the maintenance and development of our domestic Air Traffic Control system purchased from Lockheed Martin.
